Position Overview
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in their homes. This role involves performing basic nursing procedures, monitoring patient health, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician.
- Perform basic nursing procedures, including wound care, medication administration, and monitoring vital signs.
- Assist in implementing and updating patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance and self-care practices.
- Monitor and report changes in patient conditions to the supervising nurse or physician.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, infection control practices, and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress.
- Support patients emotionally and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Florida.
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
- Minimum of one year experience in home healthcare or related field preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
